At Holly Springs MLK Jr. Committee, we are motivated by the the beliefs and principles of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and use that inspiration to do good in our surrounding community.
Founded in 2013 by local residents, the purpose of our committee has been to engage in charitable and educational efforts, to organize and conduct memorial events in Holly Springs, NC to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. We strive to educate the public of the role of Martin Luther King Jr. played in the civil rights history of the country, to promote pride and unity in the African-American community in Holly Springs NC.
Together, let’s rewrite the story of communities and inspire a future filled with boundless possibilities. Our organization is open to all who believe in making a difference through the teaching of Rev. Dr. King Jr.
Funding scholarships, school supplies, and educational resources for children who dream of a brighter future.
We believe in helping our neighbors in difficult times. Our organization helps to deliver meals and support our local food banks.
Sharing the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. starts with sharing the importance of black history in our community and nation and learning from this to strive for a better future.
